Just a little update on the girls. They have had Strep Throat 9 times in the last 12 months. Poor Paige has horrible sinuses and allergies and Piper constant ear infections. They are finally scheduled for surgery.
On March 25th they will both be going in at the same time to have their tonsils and adenoids removed. Piper's ears do not drain well and at this point they cannot see her ear drums. She has been talking louder because she her ears are blocked. We did not know so we have been correcting her to use her inside voice. :( So they will clean out her ears while she is under anesthesia. The ENT tried in his office but it hurt her so bad that he stopped. At that point they will assess whether or not she will need tubes in her ears. I am worried about my little ones. I know it is not a "major" surgery but it is their first. They will have to stay at home from school for a week and they cannot run, jump, or participate in physical activities of any kind for 3 weeks. Paige is scared but at the same time happy because I will be stocking the freezer with Popsicles and ice cream. Piper overheard that they will probably be eating mac n cheese and peanut butter and jelly for a few weeks until their throats heal. No hard foods so she perked up those are her favorites! I just wanted to give you an update on what's going on in our world.
Gosh I can't imagine having them go in at the same time. Y'all are in my thoughts.
