Making Crayons!

We recycled some old crayons Sunday. It was a lot of fun and the girls are having a blast being able to color with 2 colors at once!

We started by peeling off the papers from all of our old crayons and breaking them in small pieces. Seperate them by color.

We placed the bits in glass jars and set the jars into about 3 inches of boiling water, I used the wooden end of a paintbrush to stir them while melting.

You can see that we made them in mini muffin papers (in the pans) and they came out like candy Reeses cups!
